Background

Kamikaze was started by (me) Adisa “Felix” Sobers a native of the beautiful island of Trinidad & Tobago and now permanent resident of an equally beautiful city with an outstanding reputation for attracting artist ; New York. Even thought the majority of my family including my parents and grandmother were into art I never seen myself pursuing it as a career until college at CUNY City Tech. Prior to my college experience I wanted to pursue philosophy and advertising as I truly believed that these two fields could not only expand my understanding of the world but it will allow me to help others understand as well. Little did I know that my adventure into the field of Advertising I could combine my deep philosophical thought with my skills in photoshop to reach my audience like never before.

Why Kamikaze ?

I came up with the name Kamikaze because it accurately describes my personality. I do not quit until the job is done even if it requires me to make some sort of sacrifice to see the “mission” through to the end. In World War 2 the Kamikaze unit sacrificed their lives to see the job through to the end. Me on the other hand….I sacrifice my time…and my ego to see you satisfied.

K.i.L.L.

is an acronym for K.iller I.llustrations L.imited L.imitations founded by Brooklyn based graffiti artist “DTR”. Since I’ve known DTR he never believed in limitations when it came to his art work and has always seeked out new art styles to add to his arsenal. He specializes in everything from body art, stickers for guerilla marketing campaigns to beautiful canvases anyone would want to hang on their wall. What started out as a personal project for Jason quickly turned into a reputable brand of its own that focuses on collaborative projects with other artists. He has worked with artist such as Imp One, Alidigator and many more. The motive has always been thinking outside the box. Correction : the box doesn’t even exist !
